Visit to China

I returned on Sunday from an amazing adventure visiting Beijing and Shanghai, China. We now have a partner school in Shanghai called Shanghai Primary School. There are 720 children in the school and they really enjoyed seeing the photographs of our children and trying on the uniforms and football strips that I took out. The interpreter was called April and the Headteacher is Mrs Han Xing.

Hello from Shanghai

Hello to everyone in St Augustine's

I have spent two days now in Shanghai Primary School. The staff and children are lovely and are very keen to set up some links with us. I have been in lessons all the time and have seen some music, science, English and a Chinese language lesson.

Visit the website below for photographs and to see what's happening. Please leave a comment for her to read!

You will be delighted to know that we were told the "strong religious ethos and very good relationships between staff and pupils create a happy, caring and supportive atmosphere in which pupils thrive".

Update on School Closure

School will be closed for pupils on Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 16th July due to a sickness bug which has affected a large number of the staff. We expect school to re-open on Thursday 17th July. If any children have any sickness symptoms they should not come to school until at least 48 hours have elapsed since they were ill.
