In the Winter,
I can see shivering, sparkling icicles.
I can taste hot, sweet soup going down my throat.
I can touch the fluffy snow melting in my hands.
I can hear children laughing and cheering.
I can taste hot, creamy chocolate.
And I can touch the slippery, cold snow beneath my feet.

In the Winter I can see sparkling, cold snow.
In the Winter I can hear sweet, little children playing.
In the Winter I can smell red, hot food.
In the Winter I can taste creamy, hot chocolate.
And in the Winter I can touch sweet Mum keeping me warm.

Last week two visitors from the National Gallery in London came to school to see all of the children's wonderful work entered in the 'Take One Picture' competition.
The children really enjoyed working on William Turner's 'Fighting Temeraire' and all their effort has paid off! The dvd (which has been available from the school office) is going to be shown in the Gallery! The visitors were really impressed with the standard of work, but we are still waiting to hear whether the pieces of art will be displayed alongside the dvd. The school has done remarkably well to get this far (there were 130 entered schools) so fingers crossed for the final stage of the competition! A big well done to all the children!
